Using citizen science approach to influence implementation of science-policy interface concept leads to optimal use and protection of groundwater resources that ensures sustained research for practical policy dialogue. Mere determination of water resource classes, the reserve and resource quality objectives within the resource directed measures (RDM) concept for protection of groundwater water resources without considering implementation aspects, propels for defiance in policy implementation at local scale.
