Responsible for groundwater resource protection with respect to the reserve and related activities in the Water Ecosystems division of the Department. I am the National Coordinator (RSA) for the UNESCO-IHP Project on the Stampriet Transboundary Aquifer between Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa under the framework "Groundwater Resources Governance in Transboundary Aquifers". Surina Esterhuyse is a researcher at the Centre for Environmental Management, University of the Free State (UFS).
