The Geoheritage Division of the GSSA will be hosting a series of events on 3-7 April 2022 to celebrate the amazing variety of geological features (Geosites) with scientific, educational, cultural, economic and/or aesthetic significance in South Africa. The event will comprise virtual and live field/museum visits, presentations, discussions, a strategy session, as well as the opening of the Morris Viljoen display at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden - “The Origins of Life, Landscapes and Minerals as told by the Rocks of South Africa”.
