It was unanimously agreed by the IAH Council to accept the South African proposal to host the 50th Congress in Cape Town from 18 to 24 September 2023 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. With the theme “Groundwater: A Matter of Scale”, we look forward to hosting this Congress on the African continent and welcoming South Africans and congress delegates from around the world to our beautiful country.

This course is ideal persons who are active in the field including consult engineers or water/environmental scientists and practitioners within the Southern African water sector or developing countries experiencing water challenges due increasing industrialisation and urbanisation. All active water sector artisans and professionals will benefit from this course.

This workshop is designed as an introduction to the world of drilling. It comprises a number of modules covering all aspects of drilling and logging –everything you will need to know in order to make the best of your drilling programmes. While primarily directed at students, mentees and young graduate professionals, it can also serve as a refresher course to more experienced geoscientists.
